Yes. A single Circle can host multiple initiatives—for example, separate support for school students, UG/PG scholars, or professional courses. Each initiative can have its own budget, criteria, and seat distribution.

Yes. You may temporarily pause new applications or new intakes while still continuing support for existing scholars (if funds are available). The Circle can be set to “inactive” for new cycles whenever required.

If a scholar discontinues studies or becomes ineligible, the remaining unutilised amount returns to your Circle balance. You may decide whether to:

• Support a replacement scholar,

• Enhance support for an existing scholar, or

• Carry the amount forward to the next cycle.

You will receive notifications (email and WhatsApp, where enabled) whenever:

• Verified profiles are ready for review,

• Final scholar selection is required,

• Renewal decisions are due, or

• New reports and updates are published.

The role is meaningful but not time-intensive. Most Kartas spend:

• A few hours during the first cycle (framework + profile review), and

• 1–2 hours during key milestones in a year.

• The Kind Circle team manages all operational work.

Yes. Eligibility criteria, preference groups, scholarship amounts, and number of seats can be revised annually. The Kind Circle team will help incorporate the changes smoothly.

Yes. The primary Karta role can be reassigned to a family member, colleague, or core group representative. The Kind Circle team will formally update roles and permissions on the platform.

Yes. You may run multiple Circles (e.g., a Family Circle, a Memorial Circle, a Community/Alumni Circle). Each Circle will have its own dashboards and reporting, while you retain central administrative access.

Yes. You may request periodic review calls or customised analysis—such as insights by district, course type, or vulnerability profile—to help refine or scale your scholarship strategy.

Yes. Participation is optional. You may join the scholar felicitation, mentorship sessions, or request a telephonic/video interaction. Scholar personal details remain confidential for privacy.

Yes. You will be able to appoint:

• Sub-Kartas – Co-admins who can help review profiles, manage settings, and support decision-making.

• Managers – Operational support roles for coordination, communication, and follow-ups.

Note: Some of these enhanced administrative features are currently being developed and will be gradually rolled out on the Kind Circle platform.

Yes. Buddy4Study India Foundation is FCRA-compliant and can receive foreign contributions from eligible donors residing outside India, subject to applicable laws and regulations.

Tax benefits depend on the donor's country of residence and the donation route used. In certain countries, donations may be routed through partner nonprofit organisations that enable donors to avail applicable tax benefits.

Under FCRA rules, what matters is your citizenship, not your country of residence. If you hold an Indian passport, your donation is treated as a domestic (Indian) contribution, even if you currently live abroad. If you hold a foreign passport (including OCI cardholders), your donation is classified as a foreign contribution and processed through our FCRA-compliant route. This is why your passport details are essential—they determine the correct regulatory channel for your donation.

As per the latest FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) guidelines issued by the Government of India, foreign contributors are required to provide identification details, including passport number, when making a donation. Ankit is a second-year political science student at Delhi University. He is a bright and hard-working student who consistently excelled academically in his class 10th and 12th board exams. He hails from an underprivileged family and has experienced family struggles, sacrifices, and hardships since his early childhood. Nevertheless, with the support and blessings from various individuals and organizations throughout his academic journey, he has been able to continue his education. In addition, he has completed several internships and projects to stay engaged and support himself while studying in Delhi. Currently, he is preparing for the UPSC exams while pursuing his studies at Delhi University.

All donations received in this circle will be transferred to Scholar Ankit to meet expenses of his UPSC preparation. The fund can be either transferred to coaching centers to pay their tuition fee or to Ankit for other education expenses such as purchase of preparation books, online study materials, etc.

One can donate through UPI, net banking or directly from bank debit/credit card on the Circle page.

Ankit requires INR ONE LAKH for his UPSC coaching and preparation. There are 2 potential scenarios: 

1. If raised money is below or equal to 1 Lakh: All raised money will be transferred to Ankit or its coaching center. 
2. If raised money is above INR 1 Lakh: Basis Ankit education fund requirement, any additional/unutilised money will be transferred to Kind Circle Common Pool of education fund to support many meritorious deserving students' education journey. (This also includes Ankit if he needs more education funds in future.) 

Note: To keep Kind Circle active and relevant, the platform deducts 10% from the donation money to meet its expenses for both technology as well as operational resources.  

To keep the whole Kind Circle initiative sustainable and scalable, we take a percentage of the donation as administration fee from our donors community. The payment will be against the cost of following services or value additions from KC team:-

1. Technology cost: The development and maintenance of the complete technology for smooth process management.
2. Outreach cost: The team puts efforts in different channels to find the best candidates for every scholarship.
3. Operation team cost: The team behind the call, support & interaction with donors and potential candidates and scholars.
4. Legal & Account cost: The cost of creation & execution of all legal agreements and administration of funds from receiving to disbursement
5. Monitoring cost: The time spent over tracking of performances of each and every scholar over the period of years.
6. Logistics such as couriers, printing etc.

• Verification of all the educations and income documents.
• Managing the utilisation of fund used by Ankit in his UPSC preparation.
• Constant mentoring and keeping a check on his progress.

It is important to fund Ankit Singh because he has a strong desire to become an IAS officer and serve his country in an honest and effective manner. He has faced challenges and overcome them, including the loss of his father at a young age and having to work in a brick factory to pay for his education and coaching expenses. Despite these difficulties, he has excelled academically and received recognition for his achievements. He has also been inspired to pursue this career path due to his frustration with corruption in the government and his desire to help others access essential services.
