My Story, in Bhawna's words

My name is Bhawna, and I live in Delhi. I am deaf. My mother runs our home, and my father works as a cleaner. My brother is studying in college.

I have completed a specialised Diploma in Teaching Indian Sign Language (DTISL). I am now in the third year of my BA at the University of Delhi.

For deaf people, computers are often how we work, learn and connect with the world. I believe computer skills and knowing the latest digital tools are important for working well in today's jobs.

I am asking for support to buy a laptop. Learning Microsoft Office will help me get better at PowerPoint and Excel, make good presentations, and prepare for future jobs.

I also hope to use these skills to teach basic computer skills to other deaf people, in sign language.
