Prasenjit suffered a massive heart attack on 22nd December 2022. Prasenjit was 38 years old. He was survived by his wife, two daughters and parents (on medical support).
Lipika Roy, Prasenjit’s wife has to stay strong for the sake of their children’s future, who are still clueless of the loss of their father. Their 11-year-old Piyali and 2-year-old Poushali are far from understanding the grief of losing a father.
Prasenjit, was always on his feet to provide his family members with all their needs. For all those who knew him, Prasenjit was a brave man with a kind heart who always loved his family. He was one of the best person to be around with and would always lighten the mood of anyone he was with.
To ease the pain of Prasenjit’s family, we, his colleagues and friends, have created 'Prasenjit Roy Memorial Kind Circle' in his memory & taken upon ourselves the task of supporting the family by raising funds.
We also pray for the departed soul to rest in peace & give strength to the family as much as possible.

The Prasenjit Roy Memorial Kind Circle is a dedicated initiative to honor the memory of Prasenjit Roy by supporting the educational needs of his children. This circle gathers contributions from donors to fund the schooling and extracurricular activities of Piyali Roy and Poushali Roy.
The primary beneficiaries are Piyali Roy and Poushali Roy, the children of the late Prasenjit Roy. Contributions support their educational expenses and extracurricular engagements to ensure they have access to quality education and opportunities for holistic development.
Contributions can be made through the Kind Circle platform. Donors can make one-time or recurring donations. All contributions are channeled directly into funding the education and related expenses of Piyali and Poushali.
The scholarships cover all school-related expenses, including admission fees, tuition, and transportation. Additionally, the scholarships support extracurricular activities that contribute to the children's all-around development, such as dance, sports, and creative writing.
The funds are collected through the Kind Circle platform and managed by a dedicated team that ensures transparency and accountability. The disbursements are made directly to the educational institutions or service providers or to scholars'/guardian's bank accounts as required.
The educational progress and extracurricular involvement of Piyali and Poushali are monitored regularly. Updates are provided to donors in the form of annual reports, which include academic achievements, participation in activities, and personal development milestones.
While direct communication with the beneficiaries is generally not encouraged to protect their privacy, donors can send messages of encouragement and support through the Kind Circle team. These messages are then shared with the children in a manner that respects their privacy and emotional well-being.
All donations qualify for 80G tax benefits & donors can download donation receipt directly from the Kind Circle dashboard.
Any excess funds will be securely saved and may be directed towards higher education expenses for Piyali and Poushali or used for similar educational support initiatives within the Kind Circle framework.
For any inquiries or concerns, donors and interested parties can contact the Kind Circle team directly at kind@buddy4study.com. The team is committed to ensuring transparency and addressing any queries promptly.
Buddy4Study follows a zero-tolerance policy against fraud. Every application goes through multiple layers of due diligence — including Aadhaar/DigiLocker verification, document checks, duplicate detection, and anomaly tracking. Students are further verified through mandatory telephonic or video interviews, and in some cases, physical/home visits. Only those who clear all checks, meet eligibility criteria, and show genuine need are shortlisted. Finally, bank accounts are penny-drop verified before funds are released, ensuring scholarships reach genuine students only — no shortcuts, no fraud, just fairness.
