Raising Funds for Your Education on Kind Circle: A Guide for Scholars

How student fundraising pages work on Kind Circle – telling your story, setting a clear goal, sharing your page safely and paying it forward.

Sometimes a scholarship is not enough – or there is no scholarship that fits. A student may need coaching fees for NEET, a laptop to teach others, or help to get through a law degree. On Kind Circle, some students have their own fundraising pages, where people who believe in them can contribute directly towards their education. This guide explains how student fundraising works and how scholars can make the most of it.

What is a student fundraising page?

A student fundraising page is a Kind Circle page built around one student's story and need. It explains who the student is, what they are working towards and exactly how much support they need. Anyone can contribute, and every contribution goes through Buddy4Study India Foundation, with an official receipt for the donor.

Some examples on Kind Circle:

How a student page is created

Student pages are created by the Kind Circle team for students whose details have been verified – usually students already known to Buddy4Study through its scholarship programmes. The team works with the student to write their story, set a clear goal and choose photos and, sometimes, a short video. If you are a student who would like to be considered, write to kind@buddy4study.com.

What makes a strong fundraising page

1. A clear, honest story

Donors want to know who you are, where you come from, what you have achieved and what you dream of becoming. Write in your own voice. You do not need fancy words – sincerity matters most.

2. A specific goal

"I need ₹45,000 for my second-year fees" is far more powerful than "I need help". Break the amount into parts – tuition, hostel, books, coaching – so donors can see exactly where their money goes.

3. A real photo

Use a clear, recent photograph of yourself. Never share photos of your marksheets, ID cards or certificates on a public page.

4. Proof of effort

Your marks, ranks, achievements and responsibilities at home all tell donors that their support will be well used.

Sharing your page

A page only works if people see it. Here is how scholars can help:

  • Share with your network – teachers, relatives, neighbours, family friends and well-wishers.
  • Post on WhatsApp and social media with a short, personal message about why this matters to you.
  • Ask your school or college to share it with alumni.
  • Thank every donor and post updates as you reach milestones.

A simple message you can adapt:

"I'm [name], a [course and year] student from [place]. I'm raising [amount] for my [fees / coaching / laptop] so I can continue my studies. My page is on Kind Circle, a trusted platform by Buddy4Study, and every contribution gets an official receipt. Please support or share: [link]. Thank you!"

Scholars raising funds for others

Many Kind Circle scholars, once they are on their feet, want to help the students who come after them. Alumni scholars already give through the Buddy4Study Scholars Impact Scholarship to keep their Pay It Forward pledge. Current scholars can help too – by sharing student pages with their own networks, and by speaking about what a scholarship meant to them. Read more about Pay It Forward.

Staying safe while fundraising

  • Share only the Kind Circle page link – never ask donors to send money to your personal account.
  • Do not share your phone number, address or ID details publicly.
  • If anyone offers to "raise funds for you" for a fee, do not agree. Report it to kind@buddy4study.com.

How funds reach you

Funds raised on a student page are released towards the student's education – to the institution or to the student's account, as agreed – and every disbursal is recorded on the page. Read where donations go.
